The Surfrider Foundation

Jamie Hamilton

Today we are so excited to introduce Jamie Hamilton, chair of The Surfrider Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network.

The Surfrider Foundation is a grassroots, non-profit environmental organization with 81 chapters in 10 regions around the nation, all with the same mission - to keep our beaches healthy and communities informed. Their network of passionate activists mobilize their local chapters to plan campaigns, organize clean ups, and work with local elected officials to find solutions. With a crisis level of microplastics bombarding our rivers and oceans, it is more important than ever to find plastic alternatives.

“Break Free From Plastic Pollution Act” was recently passed in Florida and includes many initiatives that help combat this crisis. Help support this act in your community by contacting your representatives in 2 easy steps. Whether you are a surfer or not, Surfrider invites you to help foster positive environmental change and get involved!
