Today on the GIVE podcast we are happy to chat with Albert Reyes of Buckner International. Buckner International is an international organization focused on offering ministry-based services to vulnerable children in six different countries, including the United States. In the United States, Buckner International works closely with the Department of Family Protective Services to make sure that these kids have a safe place to land after being separated from their parents or guardians in unsafe or unhealthy situations.
Buckner International is providing various services in different countries and are one of the only charitable groups working on prevention of abuse and abandonment, rather than just the after-effects. This stemmed from a program that has been extremely successful in Guatemala City over 12 years ago. They provide coaching, counseling, and help to families that are struggling with their children. And that is just the first step of the process. What Buckner International has done is truly amazing work.
In this podcast, Albert goes into all the different ways there are to get involved with Buckner International. Getting involved can mean buying an extra pair of shoes all the way to becoming a legacy donor. There are so many ways to get involved and help this multi-faceted organization.
